Marco is a governance and finance professional operating at the intersection of strategy, finance & accounting, and data analytics. He brings a solution-oriented, client-centric approach to complex challenges, advising organizations across financial services, pharmaceuticals, technology, construction, retail, luxury goods, and the public sector.

Marco joined Strategic Financial Consulting in 2026 and is based in San Francisco, California. Prior to this, he was a Manager in forensic accounting at KPMG in Zurich, Switzerland, where he led engagements spanning fraud investigations, anti-money laundering, compliance, and litigation support, while managing and mentoring other consultants. At KPMG, he also advised clients on regulatory risk matters and transactions. Earlier in his career, Marco served as a Strategy & Analytics Expert at an insurance company, where he strengthened corporate governance frameworks and developed business cases, financial models, and KPI-driven management reporting. His work supported executive decision-making, enhanced operational efficiency, and contributed to the firm’s strategic positioning.

Marco is a CFA® charterholder and an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA). He also holds the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designations. He earned an MSc in Social and Economic Data Analysis from the University of Konstanz, Germany and a BSc in Economics from the University of Freiburg, Germany.
